Gayle Deas, 72, of Royalton Township died Sunday, February 18, 2024, at her home after a brief illness.
The visitation will be held at the Davidson Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in Coloma on Thursday, February 22, from 12pm-2pm. Immediately following visitation, there will be a procession to Spring Run Cemetery in Royalton Township for a graveside service celebrating her life. Gayle was born on January 16, 1952 in Benton Harbor to Robert and Muriel Deas. Gayle was an avid reader and enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears, but her favorite past time was spending time with her grandson, Dustin, especially cheering him on at his wrestling matches. She loved him more than anything and was his biggest fan, they truly had a special bond. Gayle was also the “Super Star” employee at CJ Quick Mart in Baroda, she loved all of her customers and the feeling was mutual. Lastly, Gayle was a people person, she never met a stranger and would always help anyone.
Her family includes her daughter, Aimee Piehl; her grandson, Dustin Piehl; her son-in-law, Cory Piehl; and countless friends of Aimee’s who thought of her like their own mom. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister and her brother.
