Brian R. Prescott, 50, of Coloma, passed away unexpectedly Thursday evening, January 4, 2024 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.

Brian was born on March 12, 1973 in Benton Harbor, Michigan; one of four children born to Wayne and Carolyn Prescott. Brian earned his GED at Coloma High School. Early in his career he worked for several different companies, the last of which was in the residential construction business.
Brian was always a happy-go-lucky guy and was the class clown when he was in school. He used to enjoy riding dirt bikes and was always eager to fiddle with anything that had an engine on it. Brian was a great guy and the type that would always be the first person in line to lend a hand to anyone in need. He will be missed by many.
Brian is survived by his children, Tyler and Hannah Prescott and Gary and Tracy Hanners, all of Millburg; his sister Sherry McNew of Sebastion, Florida; two brothers, Wayne (Robin) Prescott of Watervliet and Jack (Kim) McNew of Coloma; his parents, Wayne and Carolyn Prescott of Coloma; his granddaughter Savannah Rayon; and his girlfriend Violet Hanners.
