Mary Louise Moore, 70 of Benton Harbor MI, passed away on October 17, 2023, at Corewell Health Lakeland St. Joseph MI.
Mary, affectionately known as Lou, was born on January 4, 1953, to the late Willie “Bill” and Bessie Mae (Gray) Moore.
Mary was a fun-loving person to be around. She’s always saying something funny to keep you laughing but will put you in your place really quick. Mary loved her crossword puzzle books, loved to read, loved to cook, and loved her family. Most of all, she loved spending time with her granddaughter.
Mary was well-loved by many and will truly be missed.
Mary is survived by her only daughter Yvette Moore and precious granddaughter LonNeisha Scott both of Benton Harbor MI, honorary adopted sons Wesley Scott and Lonnie Scott both of Benton Harbor MI, surviving siblings Millie (Tobias) Carter of AR, Ruthie Holliday of South Bend IN, Helen Allen of South Bend IN, Danny (Kolleen) Moore of Dowagiac MI, Patricia (Richard)Plowden of Ohio, Lora Moore of Berrien Center, MI. And a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles’ cousins, and friends.
Mary is preceded in death by significant other Willie James Brantley, parents Bessie and Willie Moore, siblings Karen Perkins, and JC Moore, 3 older sisters, and nephew Terry Moore.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Robbins Brothers Funeral Home, Benton Harbor.
