A Mattawan man charged after an attack on his neighbor last week has been arraigned with bond set at $1 million.
The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department says 58-year-old Gregory Charles Miller is charged with assault with intent to murder. He allegedly beat his 79-year-old neighbor in the 35 thousand block of County Road 652 in Almena Township on Friday because he was upset the neighbor was cutting wood.
Police say Miller told the victim he was going to kill him, and then told police he was going to kill the victim upon being released.
Now Miller remains in the Van Buren County Jail.
