
Carolyn Ann Hojara, a stalwart woman of immense loyalty and dedication, passed away on August 8, 2023. She was born on September 28, 1946, in Buchanan, Michigan. Carolyn lived her life as a beacon of compassion and reliability, touching many lives through her devoted service in the food hospitality industry as a waitress before she retired.
Carolyn was a beloved wife to Terry Hojara, whom she married on August 8, 1969. Their union was blessed with two wonderful daughters, Dawn (Melvin) Ehas and Kristie Hojara. Her love extended beyond her immediate family to her adored grandsons, Devan VanKirk, Tyler Bloss, and Mason Ehas. Her sister, Bonnie Beaird, also survives her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Rebecca Baker, and her brother, Lewis Baker.
Carolyn was a passionate reader and an avid Michigan football fan, her enthusiasm for the sport was infectious and created many memorable family gatherings. Go Blue! Her dedication to her family and her unwavering love for them was a testament to her character. Her loyalty was not just to her family and friends but also to the community she served. She was a beacon of warmth and hospitality, radiating kindness, and compassion that will be sorely missed.
