Sandra Lee Richcreek, 87, peacefully passed away on July, 19, 2023 surrounded by her family.
Sandra was born on February 26, 1936 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Donald and Dancy (Ruklic) Espick.
Left to cherish the memory of Sandy are her children, Catherine (James) Oprea-Rockhill and Michael (Sonja) Richcreek; grandchildren, Matthew Richcreek, Jessy (Aaron) Wilson; step-grandchildren, Desiree (Cory) Schiller, Cody Wiggs; great grandchildren, Kiera Richcreek, Nathan Richcreek, Noah Richcreek, Blake Richcreek, Mattie Richcreek; 2 great-great grandchildren on the way and siblings; Ron Espick, Chuck Espick and Pat (Terry) Ryan.
Sandra’s love for the arts was evident in her beautiful paintings and handmade cards. Her creativity was a beacon of light in the lives of those who knew her, touching many with her talent and generosity. In addition to her artistic pursuits, Sandra was an avid reader. She found solace and inspiration in the world of books. Sandy had a great love for animals, always caring for them with a gentle heart.
Sandy’s green thumb brought life and color to her surroundings. Her garden was a reflection of her nurturing nature, blooming with flowers and plants she lovingly tended to. Never one to shy away from an adventure, Sandra also loved riding motorcycles. Her sense of freedom and joy was contagious, inspiring others with her zest for life. Sandra’s kindness extended to her love for knitting and crocheting, often gifting her creations to loved ones. Her handcrafted items were not just gifts, but tokens of love, carrying with them the warmth of her heart.
A Celebration of Life for Sandra Richcreek will be celebrated on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 1:00pm at the Dowagiac Conservation Club 54551 M-51 N.
Memorial contributions may be made out to the Cass County Animal Shelter 323 M-62, Cassopolis, MI 49031 or the Centrica Care Navigators (formally known as Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan) 7100 Stadium Dr, Kalamazoo, MI 49009.
