Mary Ann Perkins

Mary Ann Perkins, aged 95, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2023, in St Joseph, MI. She was born on December 30, 1927, in South Bend, Indiana, to her parents, Joseph Fodroci and Teresa (Csakany) Fodroci. Mary was a beloved wife of the late Albert Virgil Perkins and a devoted mother to her daughters, Barbara (Ed) Behnke , Lauren (Brian) Norris, and son Kevin (Tomi) Perkins (deceased). She was also a cherished grandmother to her grandsons, Joshua (Mandie) Behnke, Adam (Sandie) Behnke, Brett (Katie) Norris and Kristopher Perkins, her granddaughters, Aubree (Greg) Slavik, Kathryn (Dan) Eardley, Lyndsie (Brock) Blackmon, Jordin (Thomas) Kreuzman and six great-grandchildren.

She was very close to her brother Michael Fodroci who proceeded her in death.

Mary was a woman of great warmth and kindness, who had a deep love for her family. She graduated from Washington High School before embarking on a career with Kroger, where she worked as a cashier and office worker. She brought smiles to her Hungarian customers by conversing in their native language.

Mary was a former member of Saint Jude’s Catholic Church and found solace in her faith. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting and was known for her beautiful creations. She often participated in craft shows with her daughters.

Mary will be fondly remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her gentle nature, and her generosity of spirit. Her legacy will live on through her family and the memories she created with them.
