Hard-working, compassionate and generous were all words used to describe Mike. Michael Allen “Mike” Turk passed away suddenly on Monday, June 12, 2023 at the age of 54. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 16 at 2 PM at B’nai Sholom Cemetery, 1301 S Crystal Ave, Benton Harbor, MI. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, June 15, from 5 PM until 7 PM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI. Mike followed his brother’s footsteps by attending Ferris State University, where he earned his Associates and Bachelor’s degree. After completing of his degrees, Mike took over the family business, Surplus Trading Corporation. In 1994, Mike met the love of his life, Eileen, by starting out as friends playing racket ball and would get married in 1996. Together, they had two children, Samantha and Brianna.
Mike enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved spending time with his family & many friends, his work, and his dad jokes. Mike was a big guy with a big heart and was loved by all who knew him. He could make conversation with anyone, and was said to never have known a stranger.
Mike is survived by his wife, Eileen Turk; daughters, Samantha and Brianna Turk; and parents, Becky and Les Turk. He was preceded in death by his brother Julius.
