Janice “Jan” Dellarusso

Janice “Jan” Dellarusso, 75, passed away May 13, 2023 at her residence in Coloma.

Cremation has taken place.  A family celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Janice may be made to Revive Church in Coloma or the church of your choice.

Janice was born December 8, 1947 in Frederick, Maryland to Edger and Dorothy (Hopkins) Barnes.  She moved to Coloma in February of 2022.  Before moving to Coloma, Jan “Grammy” was a homemaker and minister in Branson, Missouri who truly enjoyed feeding and watching her hummingbirds.  She battled MDS and leukemia for two years before going home to be with Jesus.

Survivors include her children Michael (Amy) Brian of North Carolina, Michelle (Joel) Genereaux of Coloma, Jason (Stephanie) Dellarusso and Joe (Sandra) Dellarusso both of North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Landon and Riley Brian of North Carolina, Robin (Kyle) Cartwright of Watervliet, Adam (Rosie) Genereaux of Niles, David Genereaux of Kalamazoo, Jason Samuel Dellarusso and Joey Dellarusso of North Carolina, and three great grandchildren, JoAnna, Jon and Zachariah.  Also surviving is her sister Patricia (Charles) Browning and sister-in-law Merhlyn Barnes both of Woodbine, Maryland, along with many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and one great great niece.

In addition to her parents Jan was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Dellarusso, a son Jeffrey Brian, and her brother William Barnes.

Jan “Grammy” loved life and spending time with her family and friends.  She loved telling stories of her ministry and the many friends she came to call family in her 20 years in Branson.  We were all in her prayers to the very end.  She wanted all of us to know how much we meant to her.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE WILL BE HELD AT A LATER DATE.
