Governor Gretchen Whitmer has been named a co-chair of the reelection campaign of President Joe Biden. She previously served as a co-chair of his inauguration committee. In a post on Twitter, Whitmer said Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have spent their first term “fighting for our freedom, democracy, and more rights – not less” and said “dangerous extremists are trying to take us backward.”
