Emanuel Clifford Brown 51, of Benton Harbor, Michigan lost his battle with cancer on March 26, 2023, at home surrounded by family & friends. Emanuel was born on September 13, 1971, at Mercy Hospital in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Bobbie Brown and Willie Young.
Emanuel received his education in the Benton Harbor Area Schools system. Emanuel affectionally known as Cliff was always the life of the party. He loved to listen to music while barbecuing and talking smack. And everyone knows how passionate he was about playing his lottery numbers. Emanuel was also a sports fanatic. He loved baseball, basketball, and football. In 1994 Emanuel meet Serena and they started a relationship in the summer of 1996 they welcomed a daughter together. On August 10, 2021, Emanuel and Serena were joined in holy matrimony shortly afterward they received some devastating news that Emanuel had leiomyosarcoma (LMS) a type of rare cancer.
Emanuel leaves not to mourn but fond memories in the hearts of his Mom Bobbie Bennett of Benton Harbor, MI, his loving Wife Serena Smith-Brown of Benton Harbor, MI. His children: Lamarion Walls of Benton Harbor, MI, Sierra Walls of Benton Harbor, MI, Robert Lee of Benton Harbor, MI, Brianna Smith of Benton Harbor, MI, Keira Smith of Benton Harbor, MI, Dominique Smith Sr. Of Benton Harbor, MI, Tarrian Stansberry of Elkhart, IN, his brothers: Larry Bennett of Benton Harbor, MI, Varien Bennett of Kincheloe, MI, Terry Smith of Houston, TX, sisters: Ashley Love of Detroit, MI, Amy Lee-Williams, his aunts: Myrtle Karidoula of Benton Harbor, MI, Stella Liddell of Benton Harbor, MI, Cynthia Gooden of Benton Harbor, MI, Shirley Jones of Niles, MI, his uncle: Earl Brown and ( 11) grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Emanuel was preceded in death by his father Willie Young; his brother Ebony (Swamp) Bennett and his maternal grandparents & paternal grandparents.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Robbins Brothers Funeral Home, Benton Harbor.
