Shelly Ann Hartline (Perdue), 52, of Buchanan, MI, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
Shelly was born August 22, 1970 in Manchester, IA, to the late Leona and Hank Perdue. At age 14 she was adopted by Jan Steele and became a part of a family she cherished.
She loved spending time with her significant other, Kenny, at their lake cabin, fishing and soaking up the sun. She took every opportunity to play games of any sort, she could beat any opponent especially at yahtzee and rummy. Through her life she collected all things pig related and also as many stray cats as she could. Shelly was always a shoulder to cry on or a helping hand to someone or something in need. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her quick wit and questionable sense of humor will be missed.
She is survived by her mother, Jan Steele; daughters, Amanda (Andy) Benenati, Rachael (Kenneth) Wahl, Kayla (Brian) Shafer, Jennifer Steele; significant other of 17 years, Kenny Lula; grandchildren, Gabriella Peck, Chloe (Andre) Disterheft, Lillianna Benenati and Keira Lynn Allen.
She is preceded in death by her birth parents, Leona and Hank Perdue and grandson Tyler Ferrell.
