Patrick Kenneth Miller, 67, of Vandalia, died Monday, February 6, 2023.

His life began September 12, 1955, in Battle Creek, Michigan, the oldest of three children, born to John and Janet Miller.

Patrick joined the United States Navy after he graduated high school. He honorably served from 1974 until 1980. He loved being outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He bred and raised dogs, first Beagles and then American Brittany. He enjoyed old westerns, especially John Wayne. He was a collector of various forms of memorabilia. He loved football and played for the White Pigeon football team during high school. He was an avid fan of Dodge Ram trucks and owned several of them over the years. He cherished his family and deeply loved his children, grandchildren, and siblings.

Patrick will be greatly missed by family and friends.  He is survived by his son, Anthony (Alicia) Miller of Vandalia, Ryan Elliott of Niles; daughter, Sarah (Eli) Schwartz of White Pigeon; fifteen grandchildren; former wife and close friend, Francine Fish of Mishawaka; sister, Mary (Stanley) Wolphagen of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; brother, John Miller of White Pigeon; two nieces, Delaney Miller-Wolphagen of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Miquel (Jason) Kuhn of Constantine; two nephews, Kyle Miller of White Pigeon, Jordan Miller of Orlando, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Dale Miller; and ex-wife, DeeDee Miller.

The family will observe a private remembrance.

The family prefers contributions in memory of Patrick be made to the veteran organization of the donor’s choice.
