This is Restaurant Week

Traditionally, the time between the New Year and the summer is a slow time for the restaurant industry. Street Area Association Director Sandra Andrade says Ann Arbor Restaurant Week helps people connect with top restaurants at a discounted price.

“It absolutely has a big impact on the industry,” Andrade said. “It is a slow time, so this gets people through the door and trying new things. It is, at this point, vital to a number of them to get through the winter.”

The event runs though this Friday. Different cities hold Restaurant Weeks, including Kalamazoo and Ann Arbor. In Ann Arbor, more than 30 restaurants are taking part, offering specials and new menu options.
