The OutCenter of Southwest Michigan and Froehlich’s in Three Oaks are once again teaming up to host a spring fundraiser.

Tickets are now on sale for the second Harbor Country Hearts Party, which will benefit the OutCenter and their efforts to support LGBTQ youth in the area. The event will feature dancing, drinks and food provided by Froelich’s, as well as shine a spotlight on teachers, educators and administrators in Southwest Michigan.

“We are so excited to celebrate the hard work of area educators who are dedicated to the well-being of LGBTQ+ youth,“ said MaryJo Schnell, executive director of OutCenter Southwest Michigan. “OutCenter works with more than 25 local schools and has reached more than 11,000 elementary, middle, high school and college students through our programs and outreach efforts. This event provides a wonderful opportunity to come together and celebrate them, and also to celebrate who we are and what we’ve achieved to date.”

The OutCenter of Southwest Michigan provides support services and resources to LGBTQ+ people, their families, and allies. They work to create change in Southwest Michigan through initiatives based on education and strong strategic partnerships.

The event takes place May 6th at the Froehlich’s 19 North event space in Three Oaks.

“This year’s event is going to be so exciting,” said event producer Tom Mullen. “It’s such a great time to be celebrating, now that we have both a governor and a majority in the state legislature that supports equality for LGBTQ+ Michiganders. We’re so looking forward to hosting a night of pure joy while we support OutCenter’s fantastic programs and initiatives.”

Tickets are $100, and sponsorship opportunities are available. For more information, visit outcenter.org/harbor-country-hearts/.
