Cindy Lou Mears

Cindy Lou Mears, 64, passed away on January 22, 2023, in her home in Fennville, Michigan after a long battle with cancer. She was born on June 23, 1958, in South Haven to the late Charles Criffield and Patsy (Pendergrass) Mears.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 28, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Filbrandt Chapel in South Haven. A private graveside service will be held this summer at Pearl Cemetery in Clyde Township.

Cindy married Ken Mears July 20, 2001, at their home in Fennville after a long courtship of 20years. She is survived by her husband along with a son, Jeremy Holmes, Fennville, MI, and daughter Melissa (Ed) Garcia, Holland, MI. And 3 stepchildren Kenneth (Amy) Mears Jr, South Bend, IN, Kevin Mears, South Bend, IN, and Melissa (Jeff) Woods, Zeeland, MI, 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Also survived by her a brother Terry Criffield, 2 half-sisters on mothers’ side, Michelle (Mike) Binney, Melody Mears, and a half-brother, John Mears Jr. On her father’s side a half-brother Raymond Criffield, and 3 half-sisters Cathy Williams, Carlina Shephard, and Sally Drowns.

Proceeded in death, her parents and 3 half-brothers Scott Pendergrass, Charles Criffield Jr., and Howard Criffield.

Cindy had hobbies and interests including arts and crafts, spending time outdoors, especially the beach. She also, loved cooking and baking for her friends and family. Her Potawatomi Tribal Affiliation were especially important to her.
