Coming back this summer after a two year hiatus will be the South Haven Cottage Walk. SHOUT for South Haven President Bob Copping tells us they arrange a tour of four or five interesting cottages in town for people to learn about each year.
“It’s always been a tremendous success,” Copping said. “People come from everywhere. You get a wide variety of architecture, some old, some new.”
Copping said the day starts out at the park across from city hall and the tour goes on all day. He said there have been years when as many as 400 people came out. SHOUT for South Haven is looking for volunteers who can offer their cottages to be part of the tour. There’s plenty of time to come forward as the Cottage Walk isn’t until June 24. Anyone who wants to volunteer their cottage can contact Copping. We have his email address at our website.
