Set for Saturday from 6 p.m. to midnight is the big South Haven New Year’s Eve celebration. The streets will close, they’ll have a DJ and dancing, and 1,000 beach balls will be dropped on the city center. Everything will close with fireworks at midnight. The South Haven Visitors Bureau says restaurants will offer special menu items, shops will stay open late and have planned surprises, and the newest feature this year is the “Hop On” Trolley. The trolley runs from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. and is free of charge. The stops will include the American Legion, the Lodge, Three Blondes Brewing, and back downtown to New Park Gastropub. Everyone’s invited to ring in the new year in South Haven.
