After a long battle with his health, Jim left this life to be welcomed into the loving arms of his Savior. Jim passed peacefully in his home with his loving wife of 57 years, Linda. Jim loved his family with everything he had and made sure they never forgot it. He could be counted on to be quick with a joke, a kind word, or an action that probably caused his wife to look at him funny.  He was a faithful Christian who enjoyed talking with others about Christ and being in a house of worship. All who knew Jim know that he loved his sports. He spent his life saying “next year we will win the pennant” when it came to the Chicago Cubs (thankfully he saw the Cubs win the World Series) and never missed watching a University of Alabama football game. He spent his working years as a supervisor in the RV industry. It was a job he loved and it shown through to anyone who worked under him. Years later, not a single employee could say something negative about him for he was caring boss even if he had to let them go.  Jim is survived by his wife Linda, his daughter Trisha Coleman, three grandchildren Stevie (Steven) Fleming, Brian (Heather) Russell and Austin (Breanna) Anglemyer, six great grandchildren, Connor, Abel, Rowan, Andrew, Hudson, and Emyerson as well as his brothers Harold (Bea) Coleman and Richard Coleman. He is preceded in death by his son James Coleman and daughter Lynnaie Petersen as well as parents Herman and Blanche Coleman, one brother and his five sisters. Per Jim’s request, there will be no services.

If a donation would like to be made to his name, please make them out to Centrica Hospice in Kalamazoo.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Purely Cremations in Benton Harbor.
