Donald V. Roeder, 88, died Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at his home in Sawyer.

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, at The Church of Jesus Christ, 4161 Lake Street, Bridgman, where visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Military graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta. Memories can be shared at www.allredfuneralhome.com.

Don was born April 21, 1934, in Stevensville, to Vernon and Rosalie (Loikits) Roeder. He proudly served with the United States Marines during the Korean War. He married Ola (Thompson) and together they raised three children. Don was the pastor for The Church of Jesus Christ in Bridgman, and he also was a truck driver.

Survivors are his wife, Ola; two sons, David and Daniel Roeder; his daughter, Donna Kinsel; granddaughter, Amanda Kinsel; great-granddaughter, Mya Kinsel; brother, Kenneth Roeder; and sister, Rosalie Svorec.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Kortney Kinsel; and five brothers: Ronald, John, Vernon Jr., Dale, and Denis Roeder.
