Frances M. Quint, of Galien, MI, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at her daughter’s home in Dowagiac, MI. It is with deepest sorrow to announce the passing of our mother, Frances, at the age of 100 years, just 43 days before her 101st birthday. She went to be with the Lord at 8:30 pm. She lived a full life as a hard working farm wife on a grain and dairy farm and raised 5 children, Gerald, Dale, Kenneth, Gary, and Jane. The last few years of her life, she was given loving care at her daughter’s home.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1733 W. Glendora Rd., Buchanan, MI 49107, of which she was a member. Reverend Jonathan Liebich will officiate. Burial will be in Glendora Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 – 8:00 pm on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Hoven Funeral Home, 414 E. Front St., Buchanan, MI 49107. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Buchanan.
Mrs. Quint was born August 24, 1921 in St. Joseph, MI. She was the daughter of John & Olga (Zielke) Mensinger. On October 11, 1952, she married Emil Quint, who preceded her in death on August 31, 1997. They were married 44 years.
Survivors include her 4 sons, Gerald (Yvonne) Quint of Plymouth, IN, Dale (Teresa) Quint of Sawyer, MI, Kenneth Quint of Three Oaks, MI, Gary Quint of Edwardsburg, MI; her daughter, Jane (Gary Wayne) Williams of Dowagiac, MI; 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Diana Quint; granddaughters, Nicole Quint, Ashley Williams; and grandson, Joshua Quint.
