The Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety is investigating a shooting that occurred early Saturday. It says officers were called to the 900 block of Buss Avenue around 3:20 a.m. on a report of shots fired. They arrived to find a 41-year-old Dowagiac man fatally wounded near 956 Buss. His name has not been released. Officers talked with several uncooperative witnesses, although video shows at least ten people witnessed the shooting. A review of the apartment complex’s video surveillance system shows two men dressed in dark clothing were watching the group. One of them men approached the group and pointed, aimed, and fired at the victim. The second man came from a flanking position and opened fire with a rifle toward the group of fleeing bystanders. A third person seen walking with the other two men is being sought as well. The suspects fled the scene. Anyone with information on them is asked to contact the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety
