A man and woman from St. Joseph have been charged with murder in the death of an 8-year-old child. The Berrien County Prosecutor’s office says 41-year-old Brian R. Morrow and 34-year-old Mia A. Morrow are charged with first degree felony murder, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of a drug called DMT. The St. Joseph Department of Public Safety responded to a home in the 700 block of Columbia Avenue on May 3 and found a deceased 8-year-old. An autopsy was ordered and police at the time called the death suspicious. The prosecutor says both Brian and Mia Morrow have been arraigned with bond set at $700,000 with a GPS tether. In addition, the court has ordered no contact between the two of them and no contact with anyone under the age of 18. They are both set for a pre-exam conference on June 10 and a preliminary examination on June 16, 2022.
