Eric Allen Thompson, 60, of Galien, MI, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.
He was born March 28, 1961 in Niles, MI to Sharon and Paul Thompson. Eric was a 1979 graduate of Buchanan High School. His love for sports started in high school when he played football for the Buchanan Bucks. He was an avid fisherman, family man and lifelong Notre Dame fan. Most of all he cherished his son, Eric Thompson Jr., and granddaughter, Lilly Thompson, his family and the Lord.
Eric is survived by his parents, Sharon and Paul; son, Eric Paul Thompson Jr.; granddaughter, Lilly Thompson; brother, Arthur (Lora) Thompson; sister, Sherrie Doyle; nieces, Sylvia Thompson, Ashley Doyle, Abigail Doyle; nephews, Spencer Thompson, Austin Doyle, Isaac Schrumpf; and great-nephew, Brycen Simmons.
Eric would want his beloved family and friends to know that “You never say goodbye. You always say see you later or toodle loo.”
Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan. A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date. Online condolences may be made at www.hovenfunerals.com.
