Judy Redfern

Judy Ann Redfern, 68, of Niles, passed away at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, Michigan on Thursday, December 9, 2021.

Judy was born on May 26, 1953, to the late Charles W. and Mary Lou (Adams) Redfern in Tullahoma, Tennessee. She was one of nine children and in 1972 she graduated from Niles High School. Judy worked at the Niles Buchanan YMCA for many years and loved her job and the people she met there. Judy also enjoyed playing BINGO. Every Tuesday for many years Judy and her sister, Linda, had a standing girls day that Judy always looked forward to. She loved and was loved by everyone.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Redfern and Mary Lou Dash; and her brothers, Michael Redfern and Steve Redferin.

Judy is survived by her son, Troy (Amy) Redfern of Essexville, Michigan; sisters, Brenda (Lyle) Enger of Knoxville, Tennessee, Linda Quick of Galien, Pamala (Jeff) Smith of Hanover Park, Illinois, Debora (Peter) Stefanos of Indianapolis, Peggy (Kip) Wilken of Niles, and Tammy (Vincent) Yadvish of South Bend; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends.

Judy will be laid to rest at Silverbrook Cemetery in Niles with her brother, Steve, in a private ceremony.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, Niles.
