The Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety is investigating after a body was found in an alley on Saturday. It says officers were sent to the 100 Block of Parker Street for a welfare check of a person laying in the alley around 8:45 a.m. The found a 17-year-old male dead “by suspicious means.” The victim was taken to Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo for an autopsy and cause of death determination. BHDPS will not be releasing the victim’s name at the family request. Police ask anyone with information to contact them.
