Lake Michigan College and LMC Votes are planning a lunch and learn event for this month to mark Constitution Day. LMC says students will discuss the 26th Amendment on Wednesday, October 27 at the Todd Center on the Benton Harbor campus. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch and listen as Dan Carrick, the district director for state Senator Kim LaSata and Berrien County Commissioner Rayonte Bell give presentations on the importance of the youth vote as related to 26th Amendment. The presentations will be followed by a moderated question and answer session. The 26th Amendment granted the vote to those age 18 and older. The event is open to the public and anyone who wants to attend can register via email. We have the address at our website.
