
Lynn Marie Pabis, 67, of Benton Harbor died Sunday, October 3, 2021 at her home.
Services celebrating her life will be held at 11 AM on Friday, October 8, at the Fairplain Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in Benton Township. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery in Silver Creek Township. The visitation will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM on Thursday at the Fairplain Chapel. Lynn was born on May 5 1954 in St. Joseph to James and Barbara Pugh. While still in school she was a member of the Blossomland Cadets Drum and Bugle Corp. In 1978 Lynn married her husband, James Pabis, Sr. and together they have celebrated 43 years of marriage. In the earlier years of her children’s lives she was active in the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts. Lynn was an avid gardener and enjoyed making crafts and attending craft shows. She also enjoyed baking and decorating cakes. Lynn retired from Meijer’s after 18 years of employment in 2011 where she was the Service Coordinator. She also ran a licensed child care for 19 years. Lynn always made the Holidays special for her family by going all out by playing games and with decorations and trees. Lynn also enjoyed spoiling her grandkids at every opportunity. She was a wonderful wife and mother.
Her family includes her husband, James, Sr.; her children, James Pabis, Jr. of Kalamazoo and Jennifer (Michael) Quarters of Chicago and her 2 grandchildren, Anthony and Audrey. Her family also includes her sisters, Susan (Daris) Delsi of Kalamazoo, Karen (David) Kennedy of Jacksonville, AR and Kathryn Lyons of Paw Paw and her brothers, Timothy Pugh of Pensacola, FL; Joseph Pugh of Hersey, MI, Michael Pugh, Stephen Pugh, and Thomas Pugh, all of Benton Harbor.
