John’s guest this week is Jon Vickers. His life and careers have taken him from an engineering degree at Michigan State University to a life learning of the life and power of cinema. From starting their own movie theater in Three Oaks, Michigan to creating academic and public Institutes at the University of Notre Dame and later at Indiana University. These programs have attracted world-wide attention and adulation for bringing tens of thousands of viewers and thousands of artists, producers, actors and directors of movies to the Indiana University Cinema Institute. They talk over movies, their history, stages of development and roles in our culture.
