Brian Dean Thompson, 53, of New Buffalo, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Monday – April 26, 2021.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel – 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI. Brian’s family will be scheduling a Memorial Service sometime in the future.
Brian was born on June 9, 1967 in South Bend, IN to Dean and Jeanette (Watson) Thompson. He is survived by his wife – Missy Sue Thompson, whom he married on July 28, 1990 in Jacksonville, NC; his three sons – Rodger (Kori) Thompson of Grand Rapids, MI, James Thompson and Daniel Thompson both of New Buffalo, MI; two grandchildren – Paisley and Joanna; and his mother – Jeanette Thompson of New Buffalo. Brian’s father Dean and Grandson Charlie preceded him in death.
Brian was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and son. He was a friend to many – he helped others in any way he could. He was an avid outdoorsman; he loved four-wheeling, reading, hunting, and then preparing the best meal imaginable for family and friends. James says his father was a certified “bad ass.” He will be missed by family and many friends.
