John’s guest this week is Abra Berens, the youngest of the Berens sisters of a previous show. Abra is a cook, lover of good food of all kinds, and the author of a new book, “Ruffage”, which covers the vegetables we have available to us in Michigan, the second most diverse agricultural State in the US. The book is a combination of study of individual vegetables, their biology, nutrition vegetables and recipes for how to weave them into healthy and delectable combinations. No opponent of various meats, she writes of how to work them all together in endless ways to produce great food.
