Dwayne Keith Lawson, 60, of New Buffalo, passed away unexpectedly while in South Carolina, on Saturday – March 13, 2021.
Sommerfeld Chapel – 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI has been entrusted in making arrangements.
Dwayne was born in Michigan City, IN on October 3, 1960 to the late Albert and Rebecca (Barrett) Lawson.
Dwayne is survived by his children – Shannon Lawson of Knox, IN, Melissa Lawson of Michigan City, IN, Christopher (Melissa) Lawson of Kingsbury, IN and Curtis Lawson of Galien, MI; grandchildren – Kyrstin, Madison, Ethan, Layla, Natalie, Grace and Liam; brothers – Ray Lawson of New Buffalo and Scott Lawson of Marshfield, MO; and sisters – Lucy (Cliff) Holt of New Troy, MI, Linda Lawson of Bridgman, MI, Treva Lawson of New Buffalo, MI, Lonnie (William) Jeffrey of Venice, FL, Gail (Kevin) Ireland of Houston, TX and Wanda Lawson of Michigan City, IN.
He is preceded in death by a daughter – Amanda, brother – Walter, and a sister – Lisa.
A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Tuesday – March 23, 3:00pm, at Sommerfeld Chapel in New Buffalo. Visitation with the family precedes the service from 1:00pm-3:00pm at the funeral home.
