Gerald “Jerry” Murray, 81, of Coloma passed away, Sunday, February 14, 2021 peacefully at home with his family.
Jerry was born October 17, 1939 in Chicago. He graduated from Hartford High School in 1957. He retired from Whirlpool Corp. in 1995 after 30 years of service.
In his free time Jerry truly enjoyed hunting, fishing, Nascar and watching any type of sport. What brought him the most joy was watching his grandsons play sports throughout their childhoods and into college. He was their #1 fan!
Jerry is survived by his wife of 59 years, Diane Murray; two sons, Kenneth Murray and Michael (Linda) Murray; his daughter, Wendy Goodline; four grandsons, Maxwell and Nicholas Murray, and Zachary and Drew Goodline. Also surviving is one brother, David (Melinda) Mock of Alpharetta, Ga; and one sister, Barbara (Paul Potts) Hamm of Dewitt, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Carpenter and his foster parents, John and Sarah Gay.
Private family services are being held with his burial taking place at North Shore Memory Gardens. Donations in memory of Jerry may be made to Salem Lutheran Church, Caring Circle of Lakeland or the Coloma Athletic Department.
