Police are looking for suspects after the Ace Hardware on Niles Avenue in St. Joseph was robbed early Saturday. The store’s Facebook page says nine individuals threw bricks through the glass doors just before 6 a.m. They arrived in a newer white 4-door Jeep Cherokee and a newer silver 4-door small SUV Volvo. The vehicles arrived at 5:47 a.m. and departed at 5:51, heading south. The thieves were in the store for about one minute until they ran out. Most of them were carrying backpacks. All of them appeared to be younger, in their teens or 20s. Anyone with information should contact police.
