Sandra Kay Cargo, 73, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Borgess Lee Hospital in Dowagiac.
Sandra was born September 14, 1947 in South Haven to Oliver and Dorothy (Severinghaus) Morehead. She was lovingly referred to around town as the “Sticker Lady.” A giver by nature, her generosity shone through as a troop leader for the Girl Scouts, and also as a nurse. She will be remembered as a very optimistic person. Sandra enjoyed crafting of all kinds, but especially creating flowers and keychains in wirework and beading. She found great joy in donating Beanie Babies to local nursing homes and shelters.
Sandra will be missed by her daughters, Cynthia Cargo and Kathy Canda; her granddaughter, Evelyn; her brother, Les (Rosemary) Morehead; and many cousins. She is preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Morehead; and her parents.
Services for Sandra will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to the Decatur VFW, 560 N. Phelps St., Decatur, MI 49045.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Newell Chapel, Decatur.
