John Wesley Stroebel, 79, of Grand Junction passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020 at his home. He was born October 7, 1941 to George John and Francis Eva (Waite) Stroebel in Hemlock, Michigan. John married Melody Morgan on September 16, 1960 and they shared 60 years of marriage before his passing. He worked at Bohn Aluminum for 30 years before working as a press operator for Pullman Industries. John was a member of the American Legion.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sons – John Stroebel III, Michael Strobel and Ronald Stroebel; and siblings – George Jr., Roger, Mary, Bessie, Morley, Donald, Ronald, Ann, Kenneth, And Frederick.
John is survived by his wife, Melody Stroebel, children – Terry Morgan and Sherri (Matt) Wojtas of Grand Junction; sister – JoAnn Bailey; sister-in-law – Sandy Stroebel; grandchildren – Amy Brown, Megan Morgan, Matt Brown, Charles Wojtas, and Mara Wojtas; and great grandchildren – Evelynn, Tyler, and Noelle.
Services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Filbrandt Family Funeral Home, South Haven.
