Douglas Richard Workinger, 91, of Bridgman passed away on Wednesday September 9, 2020 at his home.

Douglas was born May 7, 1929  in Benton Harbor, the son of the late William   and Mabel (Stewart) Workinger.  He owned and operated Doug’s Bridgman Bakery on Lake Street in Bridgman.  He was a licensed pilot and loved to travel. He enjoyed being up north, bow hunting and trail riding.

On September 16, 1949 he married Marjorie Jean Horton and she survives him along with four daughters: Karen Workinger, Gail (John) Coon, Cathy (Curt) Plomb and Carol (Charles) Duvall; seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; three brothers: Alan Workinger, Duane (Astrid)  Workinger and Tom (Beverly) Workinger.

Doug was also preceded in death by three sisters: Phyllis Cryderman, Dorothy Pschigoda and June Dunhan; and a brother, William Workinger.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman.
