The United Way of Southwest Michigan is inviting everyone to take part in the 21 Day Equity Challenge next month to get a deeper understanding of and willingness to confront racism. The organization says the challenge will be a self-guided learning journey to learn about the history and impacts of racism, and how it’s shaped the lives of people in southwest Michigan. Those who take part will each day receive an email prompt with a short reading or video or audio file. Participants are encouraged to take about 15 minutes each day to consider the material. The prompts will explore aspects of racism and how they intersect with other social and economic issues. You can sign up for the challenge right here.
