Vickie Ann Kazee

1954-2020

Vickie Ann Kazee (66), of Saint Joseph, MI departed this life on July 23, 2020 at Spectrum Health Lakeland Hospital.

She was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan on March 7, 1954 to Linnie B. Taylor, and Jimmy Kazee, Jr.

She was an obedient daughter, loving & daunting mother & grandmother, fiercely protective big sister, aunt, cousin &

niece, and a loyal & attentive friend to everyone that was lucky enough to have her as such… and anyone that knew

her well knows what a great sense of humor she had, and how much she enjoyed laughing & having a good time. In

her absence, Vickie leaves behind to cherish her loving memory, her (3) children (Anthony Dwayne, Virece Lamont,

and Shayla Nicole Kazee) all of Benton Harbor, Michigan. (4) grandchildren (Virece Lamont Kazee, Jr., Tyeast

Alexander, DuVarus Kazee, and Antonia Kazee). (2) great grandchildren (Evelyn & Drake Kazee). (5) loving

stepchildren (Margret Moore, James Moore, Ollie Moore, Sammy Moore, and Denise Moore). (11) living sisters

(Carol Taylor-Jackson, Shelitha Taylor-Burns, Wanda Taylor-Evans, Cathy Kazee-Abernathy, Cindy Kazee, Sandra

Kazee, Evett (Yulonda) Kazee, Charmaine Kazee, Linda Lauderdale, Lil’ One Lauderdale, and Karen Washington).

(5) living brothers (Larry Cannon, Ishmail Raheem, Carl Kazee, Tito Jackson, and Summer Kazee). (1) living aunt

(Georgia Mae Green). Her stepmother (Geraldine Washington-Penn), and Stepfather (Glenn Yarborough). She was

preceded in death by both of her parents, (2) brothers (Robert Hudson, and Brian Keith Penn). (3) sisters (Gayle

Fisher, Kim Kazee, and Catherine “Pupp” Penn). (1) stepdaughter (Mary Moore), and the dearly departed love of her

life (James Edward Dickson).

Vickie’s love, light, laughter, kindness, sense of humor, generosity, compassion, and vigor for LIFE will be forever

missed by everyone who knew & loved her, but by none more than her one & only babygirl (Shayla Nicole) whom she

always lovingly referred to as “Granny Mae”, and would have stayed here forever for, if she could’ve. You are now

pain free, and at peace, Momma… rest well my love, until the day that we embrace again.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Purely Cremations – Starks Family Funeral Home.
