On Wednesday, July 8, 2020, Thomas David Kitchell, loving husband and father of three children, passed away at the age of 64.
Tom was born in La Porte, Indiana to Merrill and Narcetta (Griffin) Kitchell.
He was employed at Gast Manufacturing for fifteen years, and recently received his Real Estate license and worked for Bon Reality in Niles, Michigan.
Tom married the love of his life Nancye on June 4, 2011, and together they recently celebrated their nine-year wedding anniversary.
A passionate football fan, Tom loved cheering on Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and painstakingly watched the Chicago Bears. He was a member of Yore Community Church in Sodus and enjoyed singing in the choir. Tom will be remembered for always having a smile on his face and being the first to laugh. He was loved and cherished by everyone who knew him.
Tom is survived by his wife, Nancye; three children, Jessica Spires (Mark Lausman), Jericho (Mike) Mannino, and Joshua (Jodie) Kitchell; a step-daughters, Jane Slone and Kathy (Jason) Stewart; his brothers, Mike (Vickie) Kitchell, Jeffrey Kitchell, and John (Brenda) Kitchell; a sister, Alana Kitchell; his four-legged children, Luke, Gracie and Chloe as well as his ten grandchildren.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Scott Kitchell.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Yore Community Church, 2690 Yore Avenue in Sodus, Michigan at 11:00 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made in Tom’s memory to Brain Research Foundation at 111 West Washington Street, Suite 1460 Chicago, Illinois 60602, to assist with research efforts for those battling Glioblastoma.
