Jerry L. Cross, Sr., 56, of Hastings, formally of Dowagiac, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at his home.

Jerry was born July 30, 1963, in Buchanan, to Jack and Helen (Gordon) Cross. He attended Dowagiac High School. On June 16, 1990, he married the love of his life, Kelly Schoff. Jerry was known as a hard-working man, he worked for Dowagiac Daily News for 9 years, and also enjoyed farming. In his spare time, he loved wood working. Most of all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Kelly Cross; children, Jerry (Kristen) Cross, Jr., Stephany (Nate Teitsma) Kohles and Zackary (Jessica) Cross; grandchildren, Keira Kohles, Bryce Teitsma, Morgan Cross, Eli Kohles, Kennedy Cross, River Cross, Watson Cross and Maggie Cross; Siblings, Les Cross and Shirley Burnham.
He was preceded in death by his parents and Siblings, Mary Shepherd and Deborah Anderson.
