The Benton Township Police Department is investigating a shooting at the Blossom Acres housing development on Friday night. It says officers were called to the area of Blossom Lane and Concord around 11:40 p.m. on a report of two men in a shootout. The officers arrived to find a 23-year-old Ohio man with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. He was taken to Spectrum Health Lakeland to be treated for non life-threatening injuries. Police say they collected a large number of shell casings from the scene and are continuing to investigate.
