Joseph Harvey “Joe” Jones, 60, passed away Monday, February 3, 2020 in St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 7, 2020 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Pastor Mike Schoeplein officiating. Military Rites will be performed by North Berrien Military Rites Team. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M Thursday February 6, 2020 at the funeral home. Joe was born January 12, 1960 in Benton Harbor, MI to Billy & Virginia (Kowalski) Jones. On June 30, 1990 he married Paula DeKuiper at The Shack in Jugville, Michigan. Joe worked for St. Joseph Schools for over 20 years as a Maintenance Technician, with special love and care given to the football field and all outdoor athletic facilities. His greatest joy was his family, daughters and his wife. Joe lived a life of service through The Road to Life Church. He was a proud Military Veteran of the Army. Joe was very proud to work for St. Joseph Schools, having bear paws in the driveway and backyard of his home, he was a St. Joe Bear! He will be deeply missed by the many lives he touched.
Joe is survived by his wife, Paula of St. Joseph; daughters, Amanda (Nathan) Harris-Oatsvall and Alyssa Jones; brothers, Billy (Melodye) Jones and Jim Jones; sister, Betty Douglas; in-laws, Pat (Stanley) DeKuiper; and his mother, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Jones and brother, Bob.
