John’s goest this week is Madeleine “Maddie” Shrock, a young woman with a mission…to become an opera singer at the highest level. Starting in Saint Joseph, Michigan, she has moved with determination to the point that she is in training at one of the best schools for developing operatic performers, now a part of the New School in Manhattan. They talk over their parallel experiences in opera, Maddie coming from an early love of the genre; John coming later in life, after not liking it at all.
