John’s guest this week is retired United States Magistrate Hugh Brennaman. Hugh is also the Historian of the US Western District of Michigan. They talk about the history of the court system in what is now Michigan from the 1600s on. There are so many great stories that he tells about the centuries of women and men who came west, south and north to organize what are now 7 of the United States, bringing a different legal and political system which eventually became the Federal Court for the Western District of Michigan.
