John Allen Miner, 71, of South Haven, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at his home. He was born July 7, 1947 to Lyle and Ailene (Baker) White in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was later adopted by Herbert Miner. John honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed making jewelry including southwestern style sterling silver. He was a member of the VFW Post 6134 in Pullman.
He is preceded in death by his father – Herbert Miner and son John Paul Miner.
John is survived by his mother – Ailene Bryan of White Hall, Michigan and siblings – Pam White of Pullman, Sharon Eastman of Owasso, Lee (Susan) White of South Haven, Herbert Miner, Don Meachum of Dowagiac, Rickie White of Arizona, Eddie White of Bangor.
Military honors will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. John will be laid to rest at the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Filbrandt Family Funeral Home, South Haven.
