Elizabeth Betrice Bell, 74 of Benton Harbor went home to be with the Lord June 1, 2019, from her home.
Elizabeth was born on January 15, 1945, to the Roosevelt and Elizabeth Roberts in Hughes, Arkansas. In 1964 she moved to Michigan to be closer to her siblings. Elizabeth furthered her education at Southwestern Michigan College with an Associate Degree in Community Living Services and shortly after a C.N.A. certificate. She was baptized at St. Mark Baptist Church where she was a member of the Usher board for the late Rev. Gray and late Rev. Price. Later Elizabeth moved her membership to the Ebenezer Baptist Church under the late Rev. Walter Brown. Elizabeth served as Rev. Walter Brown personal nurse and a member of the Mother Board until her health failed her. Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed nurturing anyone who was in need of help. Elizabeth enjoyed fishing and working on her landscape. Her favorite scripture was: Choose you this day ye will serve; but as for me and my house we will serve the LORD-Joshua24-15
Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memories: 6 children, Pamela (Gordon)Woods, Curtis Crum, Ricky (Jamie)Crum, Rita Crum-Jones, Tia (David)Shaw and Laquisha Crum. 3 brothers Charles (Edna)Roberts, Lee Chess Roberts, and Lamart Roberts. 30 grandchildren, 37 great grand and a host of nieces’ nephews and friends.
Preceded in death by Parents Roosevelt and Elizabeth Roberts, 1 son James D. Crum, 4 Brothers Otis Roberts, Theodore Lyons, William Roberts, and Franklin Roberts. 3sisters Louise Williams, Virginia Rogers and Jean Roberts.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Robbins Brothers Funeral Home, Benton Harbor.
