Trying to find a parking space in downtown South Haven on the weekend can be frustrating. The South Haven/Van Buren County Convention and Visitors Bureau and Van Buren Public Transit have announced the first ever South Haven Downtown Parking Loop. Scott Reinert is the bureau’s executive director says starting Saturday, June 29, it will be available every Saturday and Sunday for eight weeks and will have four stops.

“The loop is going to run continuously every half hour. Service is going to run from 7 a.m. until midnight each Saturday, and it will run from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each Sunday,” said Reinert. The Downtown Parking Loop will be available every weekend from June 29 until August 18. Reinert says it should be a 15 to 18-minute total loop.

Anyone wanting to use the service is asked to park in the north side parking lot at South Haven High School. Full details on all the stops and the service are available online at southhaven.org/loop.
