A man charged with killing 6 people and injuring two other in and around Kalamazoo has pleaded guilty to murder charges. Uber driver Jason Dalton, charged with the shootings in between picking up Uber passengers in 2016, pleaded guilty to all charges in front of a Kalamazoo County judge on Monday, saying he’d wanted to enter the plea for “quite a while.”

Two of his victims were a father and son from Mattawan, and another was a woman from Baroda. Two people survived being shot by Dalton in February 2016. Dalton was charged with six counts of murder among the 16 counts he faced. He shot eight people in three locations while picking up customers for Uber. None of his customers were victims.
