Sharon A. “Shari” Dupree Vales, 69, of Benton Harbor, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Hanson Hospice in Stevensville.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph with Pastor Tom Bird officiating. Burial to follow at Crystal Springs Cemetery in Benton Harbor. Friends may visit from 10:00 AM until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Shari was born on August 6, 1949 in Benton Harbor (we are verifying this info) to Joseph & Evelyn Dupree Jr. She was a factory worker at Whirlpool Corporation for many years, and lastly at Deans Food where she retired. On May 8, 2010 she wed David Vales in Benton Harbor. Shari enjoyed visiting the casinos, gambling, listening to Elvis and spending time with her canine companion Dinky and two fur baby kitties. She always loved helping others and was never able to say no. Shari was a kind, good hearted well loved by many.
Shari is survived by her loving friends whom she thought of as family; Joyce & Bobby, Shawn Simmer, Judy (Richard) Terlisner and Charles F. Martin.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband David on February 26, 2018, parents and aunts Mary Hillock Stocks and Ann Knight.
